For those who have not heard your music before, how would you describe it to them? How would you finish the sentence “L-like is ___” or “L-like’s music is ___”?
“[L-like is] a storyteller who shares many different stories.”

Who and/or what have been the biggest influences on your decision to pursue a music career?
My passion for music started very naturally when I was a child. The biggest influences in my life have always been my family and close friends. They constantly give me positive energy and inspiration. From my relationships with them, I’ve learned and felt love, and I translate those emotions into my music.

How does Phil differ from your previous albums?
Compared to my previous albums, I experimented a lot more with the arrangements. The process was so enjoyable that I often found myself dancing while working on it!
Please talk about each of these songs:

“SALGEUM”: I made this song because the word “Salgeum” sounded so cute. I wanted to capture the image of quietly sneaking up on someone you’re interested in.

“Circle”: I was going through a difficult time mentally when I worked on it. In the midst of a confusing world, I wanted to create music that could be a small comfort to myself and my friends.

“Slow Love”: It’s a single that captures the gentle, ticklish feeling of the end of summer. I was inspired by recalling first meetings with my ex-boyfriends.

What qualities or skills make someone a good DJ?
It may differ from DJ to DJ, but I believe the most important thing is song selection. For a DJ, the first priority is to play good music.

What are your short-term and long-term career goals?
My short-term and long-term goals are quite similar: to keep making music with joy, just as I do now. It’s a conclusion I reached after giving it a lot of thought.

Lastly, is there anything else you want to say about yourself or your music?
I’ll be back with more to show you! Stay tuned!
