For those who have not heard your music before, how would you describe it to them? How would you finish the sentence “Feel Heon is ___” or “Feel Heon’s music is ___”?
“Feel Heon is our life,” and “Feel Heon is my daily life.” I want to be a musician who feels like the air, always present when you listen to my music. You know, like those essential things that are always by your side, indispensable to your life. I achieved my childhood dream of becoming a singer later in life. I have carefully put the words and messages I want to convey into each and every song. I hope these songs bring great comfort and resonance to all.

Who or what first inspired you to pursue a music career?
Before becoming a singer, I lived a normal life running a business. I had dreamed of becoming a singer since I was young. I finally met [a] reliable friend and producer, a YouTuber and a composer who works on K-dramas. Talking with him gave me the courage to pursue this path.
Please talk about each of these songs:

“Stupid”: I had the idea of making a light, easy-to-listen-to band song, and this song seems to be the one that fits that description the most among my tracks.

“Sometimes”: One day, I shared stories about my past life with my producer, and a few days later, I was gifted this song, which contains my story. The lyrics of this song are the most honest account of my past. Like the lyrics [say], I hope everyone can persevere and overcome difficulties, even when things are tough. Life is like climbing a mountain, after all. You will eventually see a wonderful view.

“Leave a Memory”: This is my debut song. The moment I first received this song is still vivid. It truly felt like a dream. The first emotion that came to me was, “I'm really becoming a singer,” and when I listened to the music, it perfectly matched my vocal color and emotion, allowing me to express it well.

“For Your Soul”: This song is a remake of a mega-hit sung by Jo Sung Mo, who was active in the 1990s and 2000s. At first, I was very doubtful about whether I could sing this song. It was such a famous song, and it was a great honor, so I felt pressured. You will find new enjoyment by comparing the original version to the one I sing!

“No Limits”: I think this song is the most musically complete. The melody that flows from beginning to end and the harmony of the instruments overwhelm me. The lyrics, which send the message “It's not over until it's over,” are motivating to everyone. Please listen carefully to the words of the song.

“The Man”: There is a K-drama that was a huge hit in Korea and Japan, Secret Garden. This song is a remake of the title track of that drama. I believe the music will resonate much more if you watch the drama and then listen to the song.

“Dear My Friend”: This is the first song I participated in writing both the lyrics and the music for. One sunny spring day, I was walking down the street and looked up at the sky. It was so blue and beautiful. An old friend, who is no longer by my side, came to mind. That feeling was so nostalgic and pleasant. Because I captured that emotion honestly and plainly, I believe everyone will be able to relate. I dedicate this song to a friend who is always in a corner of my heart, my missed friends, and those missed times.

I would love to learn the stories behind your cover art choices! Who or what do you turn to for inspiration?
This part is the core of my work, because the artist for my cover art is none other than my mother. When my producer plays [a] song for my mother, she draws me. Since this music is “Feel Heon,” my mother is the most suitable person to be the cover art artist. After all, she gave birth to me. I truly believe that my cover arts are outstanding works of art, even just as paintings. Especially the cover art for “Sometimes,” which is my portrait [and] was recently exhibited at an art fair in the [Carrousel du] Louvre!

Do you have a personal favorite song of yours, and if so, why?
I have affection for all my songs, but if I had to choose one, it would definitely be “Dear My Friend”! It's the first song I participated in writing the lyrics and music for, and I can't forget the feeling I had when the blue sky and my friend's face overlapped in my mind. As I mentioned, because I captured that emotion honestly and plainly, I truly love the song. The “friend” [that the title refers to] is my past, my present, and someone I dream of [a] future with.

Are you currently working on a longer project, or do you prefer releasing singles instead of EPs or full albums?
I'm currently preparing for my next single right now. Please look forward to it! Someday, I also want to release a full album that is like a novel. I think I'll be able to share good news when I'm ready.

What are your short-term and long-term career goals?
The moment when people hear [my] voice and music and think, “Ah! That's Feel Heon.” That is my goal, [to have a] moment [when] everyone recognizes my voice. That would be the greatest honor.
