The answer. When did you first realize you wanted to be a famous musician? Has this always been your dream, or did you have other career goals in mind? When I was young, I just wanted to be a singer. But for whatever reason, I started my career as a producer and was lucky to produce many well-known songs. My goal for now is to be more known as a jazz and R&B singer. When did you first develop an interest in producing? What have been some of your favorite experiences as a producer? When I was 19, I [became] interested in making songs. Since then, every moment of producing [has been] my favorite. Do you prefer singing, prefer producing, or enjoy them equally? Well, I enjoy both. [I] prefer singing on the stage, and [I] prefer producing in my room. What are the meanings of your new singles, “Don’t play me love” and “Fever”? The song “Don’t play me love” is about the emotions that I experienced. The most important thing when I am in a relationship is faith between two [people]. With negative circumstances or people who talk back, my thoughts lead to negative emotions. In the end, relationships [can] fall into failure, so I want to say, “Don’t play me.” How did you end up collaborating with KINO and Blue.D for this comeback? What were those experiences like? I met [KINO] at Dive Studios, [at] Eric Nam's [podcast recording]. We talked a lot after the show. After that, we thought it would be cool to collaborate. My friend introduced Blue.D to me and [asked if] we could do a collaboration. Both artists were amazing and fun. Is there a specific reason why you released two singles together? Do you see “Don’t play me love” as having a very different vibe from “Fever,” or are these songs meant to be a part of the same story? Both songs have a summer vibe. That is why I put the songs together in this special single. The Don’t play me love cover art features really interesting, layered images! Where did your inspiration for this imagery come from, and what is the meaning behind it? Actually, I got inspiration from the Bible. As you may all know, snakes make Adam and Eve eat the apples. So I used snakes to represent [the] stealing [of] positive feelings, even the emotion love. Do you have any behind-the-scenes stories you can share from the making of “Don’t play me love”? I enjoyed filming “Don’t play me love.” Especially with the water, it was cold but fun. How do your new songs differ from your older songs? How have you evolved musically? I think [I have changed in terms of] vocals. A piano is a constant prop in your music videos. Is this just because you play piano, or is there more meaning behind having a piano keep appearing in your videos? You will be able to find out if you look closer into the music videos. I put different meanings behind the piano. I love the wide range of songs you’ve covered! How do you decide what songs to release covers of, and do you have any songs you would like to cover in the near future? I choose the songs that I like. I want to cover the song “Can’t Feel My Face” by The Weeknd. Actually, I covered the song in Super Band 2 with my team. What are your short-term and long-term goals for your music career?
