Sijin and Dain share their memories and talk about their ongoing aspirations.

For those who have not heard your music before, how would you describe it to them? How would you finish the sentence “CODA BRIDGE is ___” or “CODA BRIDGE’s music is ___”?
당신들의 음악을 처음 듣는 사람들에게, 어떻게 소개하고 싶나요? “CODA BRIDGE는 ___이다” 혹은 “CODA BRIDGE의 음악은 ___이다”라는 문장을 어떻게 완성하시겠어요?
“CODA BRIDGE is a ‘Repeat’ sign,” because we want to make music that people want to listen to again and again. We hope that our music continues to be a source of inspiration for those who listen to it.
코다브릿지는 "도돌이표" 이다. 이유는 계속해서 다시 듣고 싶은 음악을 하고 싶기 때문에 이렇게 표현해봤습니다. 저희의 음악이 들으시는 분들에 삶에서 계속해서 다시 듣고싶은 순간이길 바랍니다.

What specific traits and skills do you both add to the group?
두 분이 각각 그룹에 더하는 고유한 특징이나 역량은 무엇인가요?
With completely opposite vocal colors, Sijin's voice is clear and lyrical, so she is a master of introductions, and Dain's singing has explosive emotions in the choruses, so the parts where she can perfectly portray a song’s drama are her strength.
서로 정반대의 보이스컬러로 멤버 시진의 목소리는 맑고 서정적이라서 도입부 장인입니다 그리고 멤버 다인의 가창력은 후렴에서 폭팔적인 감정선을 가지고 있어서 한 곡의 드라마를 완벽하게 그릴 수 있는 부분이 저희의 장점 이에요.

What is the story behind your decision to pursue a music career?
음악을 직업으로 선택하게 된 계기나 배경 이야기를 들려주세요.
We’ve both liked showing off in front of people since we were young, and since people around us complimented our singing, we started thinking that we should become singers.
저희는 둘다 어릴 때 부터 사람들 앞에서 뽐내는 걸 좋아했어요. 그리고 어릴 때 부터 주변 사람들이 노래를 부르면 잘한다고 칭찬을 해주시면서 가수가 되어야겠다 라고 생각하게 되었습니다.

Please describe your newest single, “Blue Runway”!
최신 싱글 "Blue Runway"에 대해 설명해 주세요!
In “Blue Runway,” we expressed refreshing emotions, vocals, and sounds, containing the desire to leave right now. We tried to highlight lyrics that anyone can sing along with and an easy melody.
푸른 활주로'에서는 지금 당장 떠나고 싶은 마음을 담아 청량한 보컬과 사운드로 시원한 감성을 표현했고, 누구나 쉽게 따라 부를 수 있는 쉬운 멜로디와 가사로 포인트를 살려보았어요.

How is “Blue Runway” similar to and different from your previous singles?
“Blue Runway”는 이전 싱글들과 어떤 점이 비슷하고, 어떤 점이 다른가요?
We've always tried new things, but this album is different in that it has the seasonal feel that comes to mind when you think of summer.
저희는 항상 새로운 시도를 많이 해왔는데 이번 앨범은 여름이라는 계절하면 떠오를 수 있는 계절감을 담은 부분이 다른 부분인 것 같습니다.

What is something people would be surprised to know about the making of “Blue Runway” or the music video?
“Blue Runway”나 뮤직비디오 제작 과정 중, 사람들이 놀랄만한 비하인드 스토리가 있다면요?
If you look at the music video, it looks like it was filmed in the summer, but it wasn’t. Actually, it was cold!
뮤비를 보면 여름에 찍은 것 같지만 사실은 여름에 찍은 뮤비가 아니었답니다. 사실 추웠어요.하하

Please talk about each of these songs:

“Run away”: An interesting fact about this song: Dain released [it] as her graduate school graduation project. So at first, it was a song that Sijin didn't participate in, but as a joke, she joined in the recording, and [we] ended up releasing [a version of] it together.
“Run away” : 이 곡은 사실 재미있는 사실이 있어요. 다인이의 대학원 졸업작품으로 낸 곡 이랍니다. 그래서 처음에 시진이가 참여하지 않는 곡 이었는데 장난치면서 녹음에 같이 들어갔다가 결국 발매까지 같이 하게 되었어요.

“A night full of thoughts”: “A night full of thoughts” is a song about those nights when you can't sleep because so many thoughts are running through your head. We really relate to the lyrics and also have many nights when we can't sleep, so we hope this song can be a comforting song to those who can't sleep on those nights.
“A night full of thoughts” : 니가 내리는 밤은 수많은 생각들이 꼬리에 꼬리를 물어서 잠들 수 없는 그런 밤들에 대한 곡이에요. 저도 생각이 많아서 잠들지 못한 밤들이 많아서 이 노래의 가사가 너무 공감이 되더라고요. 그래서 그런 밤들에 잠못드는 분들께 위로의 곡이 되었으면 하는 바램이 있습니다.

Any other song you want to talk about!: We want to talk about our first dance song, “BANANA.” It was our first time dancing live [and] was a bit overwhelming at first, but it worked! 
그리고 언급하고 싶은 다른 곡이 있다면 그것도 포함해 주세요! : 저희의 곡 중에 최초의 댄스곡인 'BANANA'라는 곡을 얘기하고 싶어요. 춤을 추는 것도 처음이고 춤추며 라이브하는 것도  처음이라 막막했는데 해보니까 되더라고요 ㅎㅎ 

Next year will be CODA BRIDGE’s ten-year anniversary! Looking back at the past decade, what moments stand out to you the most? And how do you plan to celebrate next year?
내년이면 CODA BRIDGE가 결성 10주년을 맞이하게 되는데요! 지난 10년을 돌아보며 가장 기억에 남는 순간은 무엇인가요? 내년엔 어떻게 기념할 계획이신가요?
What’s most memorable is when we appeared on a singing competition called Undercover. It doesn't actually feel real that it's already been 10 years, so [we] haven't made any plans, but it would be nice to release a special anniversary album.
작년에 '언더커버'라는 노래 경연 프로그램에 출연을 했는데 그 때가 가장 기억에 남는 것 같아요. 사실 벌써 10주년이라는 것이 실감이 나지 않아서 계획을 세우진 않았는데 십주년 기념 스페셜 앨범을 내면 좋지 않을까 생각이 드네요.

What is a career goal you have already accomplished, and what is a career goal you are still working towards?
이미 이루었다고 생각하는 커리어 목표는 무엇인가요? 그리고 현재 여전히 도전하고 있는 목표는요?
Our goal has not been achieved yet, because our goal is to become the number one singer on the music charts. 
아직 저희의 목표는 이루어지지 않았어요. 저희 목표는 음원차트 1위 가수가 되는 것 이기 때문이에요. 

Lastly, is there anything else you want to say about yourselves or your music?
마지막으로, 자신이나 음악에 대해 꼭 전하고 싶은 말씀이 있다면 자유롭게 해주세요.
Our music is always improving. We are always working hard without losing our original intentions, so please give us lots of interest and love, and [we] will grow and thrive on [it]!
