The band just surprise-released “babo” from their upcoming album. The South Korean indie rock band wave to earth just surprise-released “babo”! The video was directed by Song Taejong, who also worked on TAEYANG’s QUINTESSENCE visual film and aespa’s “WDA (feat. G-DRAGON)” music video. “babo” hid in plain sight, first appearing in a mid-June image that announced the band’s next album! “babo” joins “heaven and hell” in kicking off wave to earth’s new era. Their third album — and their first in two years — is called bad pieces and comes out August 7. The name and concept come from John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s 1969 “Bed-In for Peace.” The album reimagines the bed as a hideout and involves a deliberate sonic shift, with new-to-them instrument choices including a nylon-string guitar, Minimoog bass, and the CP-70 piano. The band will embark on their largest tour to date this September, performing in 29 cities across North America and Asia. Stay tuned for much more from wave to earth in the near future!
