A guide to the music TAEYONG has released outside of NCT and SuperM!
View the Substack version of this piece, complete with links to these songs, here!
While awaiting TAEYONG’s first official solo mini-album, catch up on the many great tracks he’s already shared!

“ALL DAY”: An unofficial, self-written, self-composed rap song teased with the help of the company MiXCON and during an episode of Knowing Brothers.

“AROUND”: A rambunctious collaboration with DJ Hitchhiker.

“Be Natural”: A collaboration with Red Velvet released during his trainee years that introduced many to his “TY Track” catchphrase!

“BLUE”: A soothing and visualization-prompting song about retreating into a tranquil mental happy place.
“City Lights”: A fun “NCity” shoutout and all-around unique rap verse in the best B-side from TVXQ!’s New Chapter #2: The Truth of Love - 15th Anniversary Special Album.

“Cure”: A sway-worthy, feel-good collaboration with YOO YOUNG JIN.

“Dark Clouds”: A charming contrast to “Long Flight.” While “Long Flight” compares feelings to an intimidating shark, “Dark Clouds” compares them to a protective whale!

“Diamonds”: An R&B gem from SURAN’s FLYIN’, Pt. 1 album.

“FINE”: A resonant song of which he released a live version that enhances his unique vocal tone.

“Ghost”: A dark and alluring track accompanied by a compelling, detailed performance video.

“GTA”: A SoundCloud track with two versions that stands for “Grand Trouble Artist” and got time to shine during SuperM’s 2019 tour.

“Himalayas” (with MARK): An unreleased song that generated well-deserved buzz as part of NCT 127’s “The Link” World Tour setlist.

“Jet”: A collaboration with many other SM Entertainment artists on the label’s 2022 winter album.

“LIT”: A contribution to Street Man Fighter’s soundtrack and proof that MARK and TAEYONG are a dynamic duo.

“LONELY”: A song released with a cute, casual performance video to celebrate the launch of TAEYONG’s solo YouTube channel. SURAN’s vocals are a lovely finishing touch.

“Long Flight”: An official release that allowed TAEYONG to celebrate his inner child through adorable lyrics and a “playing pretend” music video!

“Love del Luna”: A gentle collaboration with Punch for the hit show Hotel del Luna.

“Love Theory”: A humorous song that agonizes over the lack of straightforward explanations for love, with a beyond-quirky music video and amusing lyrical contributions from Wonstein.

“Monroe” (with BAEKHYUN): A jazzy pop song with lyrics expressing relatable frustration over a crush’s poker face.

“Mood”: A chill B-side and the best song on Marteen’s album 8.

“Moonlight”: A standout performance on NCT 127’s “The Link” World Tour that showed off TAEYONG’s charismatic stage presence in a fuller-than-ever light.

“Rose”: A romantic song that analogizes love and a rose that is worth picking despite its thorns. This song is made all the more beautiful with contributions from Red Velvet member SEULGI.

“Skip”: A versatile but smooth song from KANGTA’s Eyes On You album.

“Stay in my Life”: An emotional song performed with fellow NCT members TAEIL and DOYOUNG for the show School 2017.

“Swimming Pool”: A SoundCloud song about wanting a reprieve from daily pressures.

“Time”: An EDM banger with Hitchhiker, SUNNY, and HYOYEON.

“ZOO” An eccentric, energetic track featuring other SM Entertainment artists that is part of the company’s 2021 album.
